Personnel Issues – is your church ready for the new Paid Family Medical Leave requirements, effective January 1, 2019? This will involve new payroll deduction and reporting rules OR obtaining state approval of a plan your church manages on its own. The new medical leave includes all employees, regardless of hours worked or position held. It is different from the state paid sick leave and Seattle sick and safe time.
