December 2018:

Music library - If your church music library could use a refresh or some filling in, The First Presbyterian Church of Kent left a collection of choral music.  From Bach to Vivaldi, Hayes to Sleeth - there's a wide variety of individual anthems, collections, and oratorios/cantatas.  Number of copies varies by selection.  If you'd like to review the list and do a little "shopping," contact helen@seapres.org.

November 2018:

Personnel Issues – is your church ready for the new Paid Family Medical Leave requirements, effective January 1, 2019? This will involve new payroll deduction and reporting rules OR obtaining state approval of a plan your church manages on its own.  The new medical leave includes all employees, regardless of hours worked or position held.  It is different from the state paid sick leave and Seattle sick and safe time.  (This might be a good time to check your compliance on sick time as well.) For more information, start here https://paidleave.wa.gov.

We can help review your current policy as you make plans for the January 1 deadline.  We also have model policies for sick leave. Call or email Helen Hall at 206-713-9239 or helen@seapres.org.
