From Rev. Kelly Wadsworth (Seattle Presbytery, PCCMP Executive Leadership Board):
A warm invitation for the Seattle Presbytery to hear from Rev. Lyman Smith, the Director of the Presbyterian Council for Chaplains and Military Personnel (PCCMP). Rev. Smith is a PCUSA Teaching Elder and a retired Navy Chaplain. The PCCMP endorses and supports PCUSA pastors who are serving as Chaplains in the Armed Forces, with the VA, and with the Bureau of Prisons. Rev. Smith will talk about how military Chaplaincy can be a meaningful call for PCUSA Teaching Elders. He will also discuss how to best support the 150+ PCUSA pastors who currently serve both in the Seattle-Tacoma area and around the world. More about the PCCMP can be found at http://pccmp.org/.
Join us at 2:00pm on Wednesday, September 12th, 2018 in the Seattle Presbytery offices (1013 8th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104) for refreshments and discussion. RSVP to EJ Lee.
